Solar Lights

While solar lighting is a great way to make our planet a little bit greener, our goal is doing what we can to make the world a better place. Hybrid solar lighting is an active solar method of providing interior illumination. HSL systems collect sunlight using focusing mirrors that track the Sun and use optical fibers to transmit it inside the building to supplement conventional lighting. In single-story applications these systems are able to transmit 50% of the direct sunlight received. A solar lamp is a portable device composed of an incandescent lamp or LED, a solar panel and a small rechargeable battery. It can be used as outdoor (lawn and garden), indoor (i.e. a desk lamp used to read or study, with a brightness equivalent to 40 watts) or as both type of lamps. Solar lights that charge during the day and light up at dusk are a common sight along walkways.
